The “Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The course is primarily focused on the language, literature, culture and history of Spain and the other Spanish-speaking geographical areas. The program is divided into three core fields - Linguistics, Literary Studies and Regional Studies. The participants are expected to master various theories and methods for scientific research, to understand, translate, and analyze Spanish literary and non-literary texts. Some of the key subjects included in the course are Geography, History, Politics, Philosophy, Art, Media, and Social Systems.
