The “Bachelor of Arts in Studies in Ancient Civilisations: Concentration Classical Archaeology’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a 6-semester course designed by the Institute of Classical Archaeology. The course combines five major fields of study - Egyptology, Ancient Oriental Studies, Classical Archaeology, Prehistoric Archaeology and Near Eastern Archaeology. During the interdisciplinary Bachelor’s program participants can broaden their learning horizons with an additional practice at several partner universities. The focus of the program is put primarily on the Greek and Roman cultures from ca. 1500 B.C. to 500 A.D. This includes an extensive practice on Classical Philology (Latin and Greek Studies). Among the other key subjects are: Ancient History, Prehistory and Early History, Egyptology, Near Eastern Archaeology, Ancient History of Religion and Art History.
