The “Bachelor of Arts in Studies in Prehistoric Archaeology: Concentration Prehistoric Archaeology’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a 6-semester course designed by the Institute of Prehistoric Archaeology. The main subject of the course covers the social, cultural and economic diversity of the ancient people. The Bachelor’s program combines the disciplines Egyptology, Ancient Oriental Studies, Classical Archaeology, Prehistoric Archaeology and Near Eastern Archaeology. Students are expected to discover and explain different artefacts from the ancient period. As an interdisciplinary course, the Studies in Ancient Civilisations combines humanities with natural sciences, introducing the participant to subject like Ethnology, History, Physical and Historical Geography, Anthropology, Archaeozoology and Archaeobotany.
