The “Bachelor of Arts in Italian Language and Literature’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The study program is offered in two different modules - a module with prior linguistic knowledge and a module without prior linguistic knowledge. The course is primarily focused on the extensive Italian language practice, applying interdisciplinary approach with linguistics, literature, and regional studies included. The diferent components of the course include Language Practice, Linguistics part, Basis of literary studies, and Social and cultural conditions of Italy and other Italian-speaking areas. The educational course is well combining theory and practice to give the participants a better overview of the Italian language and literature.
