The Fulda Faculty of Theology, founded in 1805, is a state-approved ecclesiastical institution of higher education seated in Fulda, Hesse and funded by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fulda. It is entitled to confer doctoral and post-doctoral degrees. Some 100 students are provided with an academic education in Theoloy. The Faculty is aimed particularly at seminarists that seek to exercise the priestly vocation. The scope of studies offered includes three study courses: the ten-semester study course “Magister Theologiae“, and the two six-semester Bachelor degree courses “Evangelization in the Modern World“, and “Sources of Christianity“. The following degrees can be obtained at Fulda Faculty of Theology: B.A., Mag. theol., Lic. theol., and Dr. theol.
