The “Bachelor of Science in Midwifery” is a 7-semester program conducted in German and English. It is comprised of subject-specific theoretical content and extended practical phases. During their education, students learn how to handle field-specific complex tasks responsibly and according to the different situations and to provide gentle support and care for women. The BSc is research-oriented and provides participants with the analytical and methodological skills required to carry out a project individually. Also, the dual-study concept enables students to gain hands-on experience and prepares them for the daily challenges of the profession. Graduates can work in clinics or doctors' practices, or as self-employed midwives with their own practice. They are also qualified for work as research assistants at universities and institutes of higher education.
