The “Bachelor of Education in Vocational Education in Health” is a German-taught program with a duration of 6 semesters. During their education students will focus mainy on natural sciences and medicine but will also gain a fundamental understanding of the structures of the health system, social inequality of health chances, as well as health promotion. The BEd is practice-oriented and provides students with hands-on experience and professional core competencies that are required for the dynamic environment of the field. Upon completion of the program, there are two options. If graduates wish to pursue a teaching position in Health, they need to further their qualification with a Master’s degree. The second option is to work as a practical skills instructor in vocational schools (available only if the students choose nursery or physiotherapy as a second subject).
