Furtwangen University offers the English-taught program “Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering” with a duration of three semesters. Students of this practice-oriented course will learn the fundamentals of engineering science, focusing on medical engineering. By attending different theoretical lectures such as Measurement Technology, Modelling, Simulation, Biomedicine, Introduction Medical Technology, Signal Processing, they will understand how can create effective solutions to health issues in the area of diagnosis and therapy, using scientific methods and tools. In addition, they can also choose between two specializations: Biomedicine, or Medical Engineering. Successful completion of the program leads to professional career in research institutes, and hospitals.
