The study program “Editing and Sound” offered by the German Film and Television Academy Berlin provides students with the needed knowledge and skills in the field of editing and sound. Throughout the first year, students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge, and build cross-disciplinary partnerships with students from other disciplines. The borders between these disciplines stay open throughout the course of study, and students develop into well-rounded filmmakers. They get a broad grasp of film as well as specialized information pertinent to their respective fields. Furthermore, students contribute to narrative creation, comprehend cinematic components of dramaturgy, and can evaluate an actor`s performance. They also have expertise in music, sound design, art history, and most importantly, film editing.
