The “Master of Arts in Leadership Skills and Management in Top-Class Sport” program at German Sport University Cologne is a part-time degree with a length of 4 semesters. The main aim of this course is to promote the professionalization of top-class sport in Germany. Scientific thinking and methodical work, Psychological basics of management in top-class sport, Sports policy, Training science basics for managers in top-class sport, Organizational theoretical foundations of management in top-class sport and other subjects are part of the curriculum, which concludes with a Master’s thesis. This program is aimed at professional trainers, employees of sports organizations, managers with sporting experience and professional athletes.
