The “Master of Science in Performance, Training and Coaching in Top-Class Sport” is a four-semester study program offered by the German Sport University Cologne. Each course in the university is aligned with the professional activity of the students, and the study periods are divided into different modules. The basic courses in the program combine theory and practice, and are generally divided into four levels: Central topics and basics; Ability to act and current problem areas; Carrying out of project; Master’s thesis and additive courses. All Master’s programs offer 30 places available per year. The participants are expected to further develop their interdisciplinary skills and to gain knowledge on the physical performance of people and the scientific methods for their constant optimization. The graduates are also to be introduced to the issues related to physical stress, diagnosis and control of adaptation processes.
