The “Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Health in Prevention and Therapy” is a six-semester study program offered by the German Sport University Cologne. Each course in the university is aligned with the professional activity of the students, and the study periods are divided into different modules. The basic courses in the Bachelor’s program combine theory and practice, and build the foundations of the sports science. The study program is primarily focused on the various approaches to health interventions, health activities, and different training methods. The participants are expected to develop interdisciplinary skills and to gain knowledge on the methods and stages of the planning, implementation and evaluation in the areas of health-improvement and prevention. Upon graduation, the students can pursue a career as health coaches or health consultants in the health sector like clubs, sanatoriums, clinics, etc.
