The “Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Movement Mediation in Leisure and Recreational Sports” is a six-semester study program offered by the German Sport University Cologne. Each course in the university is aligned with the professional activity of the students, and the study periods are divided into different modules. The basic courses in the Bachelor’s program combine theory and practice, and build the foundations of the sports science. The study program is primarily focused on three key areas: Leisure and sport for all, Outdoor sport / Sport tourism, and Artistic / Creative movement. The participants are expected to develop teaching, organizational, practical and social skills, and to gain the needed knowledge to plan, implement and evaluate different sport courses. Upon graduation, the students can pursue a career in sports clubs, schools of sport, sport and dance studios, numerous leisure-based organizations, etc.
