The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Metropolitan Culture” provided at HCU Hamburg is directed at introducing students to the cultural debates and innovations which take place in the Metropolises. The course is a combination between theoretical and practical modules, which are focused on the professional profile of students. This course is structured in six semesters, during which it is constantly updated according to the news, trends and developments in the culture. Students that complete the program are ready for a career in project management and presentation, in visualizing and communicating the city - using graphics software and more. The program contains subjects like changes in metropolitan areas, urban development processes and urban lifestyles, analog and digital movements, ethnographic and artistic urban research, the basics of urban history and economics, and cultural and media theory and more.
