The study program “Master of Science in Urban Design” provided at HCU Hamburg prepares qualified experts in this vast field. Students focus on the contemporary urban buildings and structures and view their future aspects and possible change. The duration of study is four semesters in full-time format. With this degree, graduates can proceed to a career in urban planning and designing offices in the areas of construction and project management, in government and non-government organisations and institutions, in construction implementation and in public construction administration and more. Some of the subjects covered are urban planning, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, geography, landscape planning, interior design, cultural studies, landscape architecture, ethnology and more.
