Description
Corporate Governance deals with the systems of directing and control of companies. Corporate Governance includes the management of all the factors that contribute to the successful running of any organization – finances, human resources, functions and activities –, and using them effectively in order to meet goals and objectives. Corporate Governance establishes a system of rules and practices that govern the management of organizations. This includes operational management, strategic management, corporate policy, corporate planning, corporate ethics, value-based management, and employee-based management. The main aim of Corporate Governance is to provide effective and sustainable management concepts that lead to companies’ success. Students in Corporate Governance have the opportunity to study subjects like Strategic Planning and Policy, Organizational Leadership, Strategic Marketing, Strategy and Leadership, Performance Management and Control, Organizational Analysis, Operations Management, Performance Measurement and many others. Apart from theoretical knowledge, Corporate Governance degrees courses provide students with plenty of opportunities to gain professional experience by developing transferrable skills like problem-solving, project management, leadership, critical-thinking and task management skills through internships and work placements. Potential careers for Corporate Governance graduates include positions in data governance, corporate governance advising, business development, risk analysis and management and many other sectors.
