Marine Geosciences is an interdisciplinary academic field that studies ocean climate changes in the past and present, the structure and dynamics of the ocean, as well as the geological, biological, geochemical and physical processes in the ocean. Marine pollution is one of the leading global issues today, and studying Marine Geosciences provides the opportunity to contribute to sea life conservation and ocean health by using geoscientific methods to plan, carry out and evaluate projects related to pollution control and climate change. Marine Geosciences university programs teach a number of subjects, such as Biogeochemical Processes, Marine Resources and Geotechnology, Sedimentary Structures and Processes, Physics and Petrology of the Ocean Crust, Coastal Geology, Basin Analysis, Marine Geosystems, Evolution of Biosphere and Climate and others.
