The Hamburg University of Technology, founded in 1978 and seated in Hamburg, is a public university with approximately 7,620 students. It is supported by the Behörde für Wissenschaft und Forschung (Ministry of Science and Research). Prospective students are provided with 42 Bachelor and Master degree courses. The study courses “Electrical Engineering“, “Computer Science Engineering“, “Computer Science“, “Engineering Mathematics“, “Mechatronics“, “Mechanical Engineering“, “Energy and Environment Engineering“, “Shipbuilding“, “Logistics and Mobility“, and “General Engineering Science“ can be completed on a dual basis. Being an internationally oriented university, the Hamburg University of Technology also offers a number of English-language study courses. They include the following Master degree courses: “Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering“, “Environmental Engineering“, “Information and Computer Systems“, “Mechanical Engineering and Management“, “Mechatronics“, “Microelectronics and Microsystems“, “Joint Masters in Environmental Studies: Cities and Sustainability“, “Joint Masters in Global Innovation Management“, and “Joint Masters in Ship and Offshore Technology“. Added to this are extra-occupational continuing education opportunities in the form of seminars, workshops, and the two-year extra-occupational “Technology and Management“ (in partnership with the Northern Institute of Technology Management). Depending on the respective program, graduates of the Hamburg University of Technology receive a B.A., M.A., and MBA.
