The academic course “Care in Renal Replacement Therapy” is a 3-semester long, part-time program taught in German. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses in Special Physiology, Pathology, and Pharmacology, Resuscitation and Shock Therapy, Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition, Ventilation Procedures and Ventilation Therapy, Law, Professional Studies and the Nursing Process in Intensive Care, and more. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and align their education to their interests. The program provides participants with the needed skills to deal with complex situations. Upon completion, they are qualified to assume positions in public and private hospitals, outpatient clinics, and day clinics.
