The academic course “Wound Management, Continence, and Ostomy Care” is a part-time, German-taught program with a duration of 3 semesters. Throughout their studies, participants will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training. They’ll focus on Special Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Ostomy and Continental Care, Psychology and Psycho-Oncology, Palliative Care, Wound and Fistula Management, Pain Management, and more. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their education. The course is application-oriented and aims to provide participants with practical relevance and industry-specific skills. Occupational opportunities include work in hospitals, clinics, retirement and nursing homes, and education, training and further education institutions.
