The “Master of Science in Medical Informatics” is a 4-semester long program taught in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at Heilbronn University. The aim of the MSc is to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. The curriculum consists of multifaceted courses with a focus on Medicine, Systems Informatics, Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computer-Assisted Diagnosis and Therapy, Data Science, Software Engineering, and more. Additionally, participants can diversify their studies by undertaking elective modules. The MSc is research-oriented and aims to provide students with the social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to carry out scientific work independently. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared for the dynamic environment of the field and ready to assume managerial positions at health insurance, pharmaceutical industry, medical technology companies, consulting firms, public services, software industry, IT departments of hospitals and clinics, etc.
