Hertie School, founded in 2003, is a state-recognized private institution of higher education seated in Berlin. It accomodates round about 400 students, and is sponsored by the Hertie Foundation. Prospective students can choose from a study offering of three English-language programs, namely the two-year Master course “Master of Public Policy“, the two-year Master course “Master of International Affairs“, and the EMBA program “Executive Master of Public Administration“. The latter is a two-year continuing education program for executives which is possible both on a full-time basis and on an extra-occupational basis. The scope of studies offered is complemented by individual continuing education programs and workshops. As an institution entitled to confer docotral degrees, Hertie School also offers a three-year doctoral program with a focus on governance and public policy.
