University of Evangelical Church Music Bayreuth - Page

The HfK Bayreuth, founded in 2000, is a state-recognized university for church music seated in Bayreuth, Bavaria. It is clerically sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Approximately 50 students receive a thorough education based on the four Bachelor degree programs “Evangelical Church Music“, “Piano Education“, “Organ“, and “Conducting“ (with special emphasis on choir conducting), as well as the four Master degree programs “Evangelical Church Music“, “Instrumental Education/Vocal Education“, “Music Direction instrumental/vocal“, and “Artistic Organ Playing“, all of which lead to the Bachelor/Master of Music degree. Admission to study at the HfK Bayreuth is subject to an entrance examination (Bachelor studies) and an aptitude test (Master studies), respectively.
