HfK Heidelberg, founded in 1931 under a different name, is an ecclesiastical music school seated in Heidelberg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Students are provided with an artistic education focused on musical ensemble work. The School’s offers church music studies as well as specialized postgraduate studies. The scope of church music studies includes the following courses: “Bachelor Protestant Church Music“, “Postgraduate Course Evangelical Church Music A“, “Parallel Study Course Church Music/School Music“ (taught at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts and the HfK Heidelberg), and “Supplementary Course Church Music for School Musicians“. The scope of specialized postgraduate studies includes the artistic training courses “Choir Conducting“, “Voice“, “Piano“, “Organ“, “Organ Improvisation“, and “Soloist Class Organ“. Prerequisite for studying at HFK Heidelberg is the completion of an admission examination.
