The concert examination program “Ensemble Conducting for New Music” at Hfm Saar is especially designed for students with advanced knowledge and experience who want to concentrate on the special challenges of the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. The course primarily focuses on the development of an extended, adaptable conducting technique, stylistic flexibility and the formation of an overview of the very diverse repertoire. Admission requirements include a concert qualification or Master's degree in conducting with distinction or the grade "very good" in addition to at least two completed practical semesters.
