The hsg Hochschule für Gesundheit – University of Applied Sciences, founded in 2009, is the first public institution in Germany to be committed to preparing students for health professions. It currently accomodates round about 900 students. The study offer ranges from Bachelor degree programs to Master degree programs. The University is comprised of three departments: the Department of Applied Health Sciences, the Department of Community Health, and the Department of Nursing Science. Offered at Bachelor’s level are the study programs “Speech and Language Therapy“, “Occupational Therapy“, “Physiotherapy“, “Midwifery“, “Health and Diversity Studies“, “Community Health Care“ (extra-occupational), “Nursing“ (concentrations: Elderly Care, Nursing and Health Care, Health Care and Pediatric Care), and “Evidence-Based Health Care“. On offer at Master’s level are the study programs “Evidence-based Health Care“, and “Health and Diversity Studies“. Depending on the respective program, graduates of hsg Hochschule für Gesundheit – University of Applied Sciences obtain a B.A., B.Sc., M.A., and M.Sc degree.
