The Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Württemberg, founded in 1979, is a police school seated in Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Wuerttemberg. The School’s task is to train police officers of Baden-Wuerttemberg who seek to become senior police officers. It is organized into four faculties: the Faculty of Deployment and Leadership Sciences, the Faculty of Criminology, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Social Sciences. On offer is a three-year Bachelor program that leads to a B.A. degree, as well as a consecutive Master program. The study purpose is to convey students the methods and knowledge as well as practical-professional skills senior police officers in administrative and crime investigation departments require for fulfilling their tasks. The Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Würtemberg currently has a total of round about 1,300 students.
