Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1867, is a public university seated in Mittweida, Saxony. Accomodating more than 6,300 students, it is the largest university of applied sciences throughout Saxony. The University is organized into five faculties: the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, the Faculty of Applied Computer Sciences and Biosciences, the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Media Sciences. The scope of studies includes Bachelor, Master, and Diploma programs in Engineering, Business Studies, Media Studies, and Social Sciences. Some study programs are also offered in a training-integrated/practice-integrated and extra-occupational manner. The training-integrated programs on offer are “Automation Industry 4.0“, “Mechanical Engineering“, and “Mechatronics“. The scope of practice-integrated study opportunities includes the study course “Industrial Management“. Offered in an extra-occupational manner is the study course “Social Work“.
