Hochschule Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, founded in 2009, is a public university with locations in Mühlheim an der Ruhr, and Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia. Approximately 5,400 students are currently enrolled there in engineering-oriented Bachelor and Master programs. Many direct studies courses can also be taken as training-integrated and/or practice-integrated dual study courses. The scope of study courses that can be taken both in a training-integrated and practice-integrated manner includes “Applied Computer Science“, “Electrical Engineering“, “Energy and Water Management“, “Energy Informatics“, “Automotive Electronics and Electric Mobility“, “Mechanical Engineering“, “Human-Machine Interaction“, “Energy Systems Engineering and Management“, as well as “Business Information Systems“. The scope of study courses that can exclusively be taken in a training-integrated manner includes the study courses “Industrial Services Management“, “International Business and Emerging Markets“, “Mechatronics“, as well as “Mechanical Engineering and Management“. Among the study courses that can be taken exclusively in a practice-integrated manner are “Civil Engineering“, “International Retail Management and Logistics“, “Civil Engineering and Management“. Depending on the respective course of study, graduates of Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences obtain a B.A., B.Sc., M.A., or M.Sc degree.
