Description
The study program “Master of Engineering in Composite Materials” offered by Hof University of Applied Sciences provides students with the needed knowledge and skills to be able to develop new composite materials. It is critical to have a comprehensive approach to materials` lifecycle - from manufacturing through recycling. Students will be well prepared for challenging managerial roles in the areas of material science and technology. A Bachelor`s degree in material or surface engineering, or an engineering degree with a relevant speciality, is necessary for admission. The first semester focuses on the fundamentals, chemistry, mechanics of composite materials, etc. Modules on polymer matrix composites, quality and optimization are included in the second semester. The third one is a practical semester. Graduates will be qualified to take on positions such as a head of a materials laboratory, specialist for materials in product development, etc.
