The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Economic and Organizational Sociology” offered by Hof University of Applied Sciences is quite different than the classical sociological degree programs, as the theory is not in the foreground. The course of study is much more focused on the practical relevance. Students will learn how to mediate, organize projects, engage critical and conflict-resolution conversations, as well as present themselves professionally. Some of the topics that will be explored are quality management, sustainability and civic engagement, etc. Incorporated to the curriculum, there is an opportunity for a semester in one of the partner universities. All classes are arranged in small groups with close contact with the professors.
