The study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering” offered by Hof University of Applied Sciences provides students with comprehensive knowledge in the field. The course of study is founded on a solid foundation in materials science and related manufacturing and processing technologies, as well as scientific and technical fundamentals, which are taught throughout the first two years. Furthermore, thorough speciality knowledge is taught in the third year, particularly in the fields of plastics technology and surface coatings. Incorporated to the curriculum, there are modules in which students develop their soft skills. A specific emphasis is put on the practice, so as for students to be able to deal with the challenges of the economy. Upon successful completion of the program graduates are qualified to work in the areas of materials and process development, quality management, materials advice and customer care, etc.
