Description


The three-and-a-half-year study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering” offered by Hof University of Applied Sciences provides students with the needed knowledge and skills in order to build careers in the machine building industry. Mechanical engineers are high in demand in a lot of business sectors such as the automotive industry and energy. The curriculum is divided into six theoretical semesters and a practical one. Firstly, the foundations of mathematics, physics, computer science, mechanical design are all covered. Then, modules including automation, machine building and production managements provide a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering`s main subjects. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students have the opportunity to choose a specialisation subject, in which they want to gain expertise. Available for them to choose from are production, water and environment, energy and building service engineering, efficient product design, etc. During the seventh semester students must complete a 900 hours internship as help with engineering tasks in a company.
