The seven-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design” offered by Hof University of Applied Sciences aims to educate and equip specialist designers to utilize their creative, technological, and business-oriented understandings and abilities autonomously within their professional areas. The classes take place in the campus in Münchberg. Students will learn key design processes and idea generating methodologies, textile technologies, etc. Classes are arranged in small groups which develops cooperating and accountability, as well as enhance creativity and critical thinking skills. Showing and presenting the products, as well as documenting their creation process are important aspects of the course. In the sixth and seventh semesters students have the opportunity to chose special modules and projects and, in this way, to set an individual emphasize on their studies. Incorporated to the curriculum, there is also an internship semester. Graduates have many various job opportunities. They can work in all fields of surface and colour design, paper and wallpaper industry, fashion, architecture, etc.
