The HSD Düsseldorf – University of Applied Science, founded in 1971, is a public university in North Rhine-Westphalia with more than 9,000 students. Prospective students are provided with Bachelor and Master programs at seven faculties: the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Design, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering, the Faculty of Media, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Cultural Sciences, and the Faculty of Business Studies. In some instances, studies can be completed both on a full-time and part-time basis. This applies to the degree courses “Business Administration“ (B.A.), “Empowerment Studies“ (M.A.), “Culture, Aesthetics, Media“ (M.A.), and “Social Work/Social Pedagogy“ (B.A.). Dual studies include the degree courses “Electrical Engineering and Information technology“ (B.Eng.), “Taxation“ (B.A.), and “Mechanical Engineering“ (M. Sc.). The following degrees can be obtained at the HSD Düsseldorf –University of Applied Sciences: B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng., M.A., M.Sc., and M.Eng.
