HTW Saar offers the “Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business – Technology and Economics in Aviation”, which gives a professional pilot’s license and economics specific knowledge. For six semesters, out of which the third, fourth and fifth are spent at the external flight school for pilot training, students acquire a respected and valued profession, plus an alternative prospect for realization in the sphere of business management. Primary issues, which will need to be handled by the future graduates, will be the increased number of passengers, sustainability of the transportation process, bio and alternative fuels, lightweight constructions development, environmental concerns, and commercial demands. PPL (A) and an ATPL flight license according to EASA Part FCL are received. The application requirements naturally include an aptitude test, apart from the general educational prerequisites.
