HTW Saar is the host for the “Bachelor of Science in Communication Informatics” degree program. The course is six semesters long, and prepares computer scientists with special emphasis on networks and communication systems. The application of these is growing every day, and practically all means of modern connectedness are in great need of graduates of such academic profile. Fundamental IT technology subjects like mathematics, computer science, databases, operating systems, IT security and networks will be taught, in close view of trends in business and science. The practical application of the degree is achieved through working side by side with local or regional business, doing internships with them, and even performing the final theses research and investigation.
