HTW Saar, together with the University of Lorraine, in Metz, have elaborated a “Master of Science in Computer Science” course, taking place at both locations. The study period continues for four semesters, the first two in Germany, the others – in France. A six-month practice period is foreseen, as well as the defense of a practice-oriented master’s thesis. The international character of the degree requires use and further study of English and French, apart from German. The curriculum is meant to be comprehensive and contemporary, in order to supply the needed knowledge for independent work in diverse fields of application – software development and architecture, UX design, data science, IT systems and network security. Cutting-edge “Business Intelligence” and “Security of Information” have also taken their due place in the program. The competence trained by the academics in both universities will guarantee the excellent job prospects of future graduates of this complex, yet, absolutely indispensable in modern economy, profile.
