The university certificate course “HR Officer” can be completed at HTW Saar. It is done throughout a two-semester long period. The pressing need for HR specialists, especially in small and medium sized enterprises, if left unaddressed by the academic fields with suitable preparation of specialists to perform the profesionals tasks in an informed and skilled manner, could result not only in a shortage of employees, but in an economic disadvantage for those businesses. Face-to-face events are finished with project and a colloquim. The successful completion of the studies leads to the obtainment of a university certificate, validated as a Personnel Officer by the IHK, 5 academic credits and a Saarland Chamber of Commerce acknowledgement, too.
