In seven semesters at HTW Saar, the degree “Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering” can be achieved. The program dwells on the following spheres of expertise: core natural science cycle – mathematics, physics, materials science, IT, engineering basics, elements of the business administration subject matter - accounting, management, finance, marketing, HR, plus the knowledge concerning social competences – leadership, soft skills, and conflict management. Apart from integrating disciplines, the degree is also oriented towards the international preparation of the students, so languages and project management skills are also imparted. A double degree is also possible in the joint courses with partnering universities from USA, China, Mexico, Finland, Poland, Sweden, Luxembourg. Optimal technology-driven operation of production processes, logistics strategies, and sustainability issues, complement the skills of the modern engineer, a figure to be highly versatile in later professional realization, and welcome in spheres not only dedicated to industrial production.
