The job-integrated study program “Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering” at HTW Saar. It is six or seven semesters long, and the curriculum combines both technical and economic subjects, so professional preparation for managerial jobs, both within a strictly industrial branch, or any other, like consulting, production or service company, will be suitable after graduation. This vocational program also provides for foreign language preparation and work on international projects. Some technicians’ skills are validated and result in a shortened course of studies. The final thesis is the conclusion of the studies, and can be related to a company-specific research, and practically contribute to the solution of a corresponding issue, or the development and implementation of a new appliance or technical process.
