DFHI-ISFATES, which is the offshoot of the cooperation between the French University of Lorraine in Merz and the HTW Saar has developed the double Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Arts in International Tourism Management”. Since tourism is one of the most important industries in both countries, specialists graduating the degree will have ample opportunities for professional realization – in event agencies, transport companies, hotel businesses, and traveling operators. They will get instructed at how to handle smoothly and independently practically any aspect of the tourism processes. Behind what seems to be only leisure, lax and fun activities, there lies great expertise in business, social and intercultural management. The six semesters of the study program supply technical and management subjects, social, political, economic, geographic notions, and teamwork, leadership and communication skills. Three months of the last semester are scheduled for a practice period abroad, where students will also be able to improve their linguistic performance.
