HTW Saar provides a certificate course for professional with scientific and engineering background, unified under the title of “Laboratory and Quality Management”, but representing six different spheres of specific qualifications. The design takes up the form of one or multi-day seminars, lectures, worshops, and exercises, and can be donе at various locations around Germany. The courses are developed by the HTW Saar in cooperation with the Dr. Klinkner und Partner GmbH. The examination at the end of the program leads to the certificate from the Continuing Education Centre Saar. The standard period is four semesters, but these can either be shortened or proloned by two. Vocational training or a completed degree in the field are a prerequisite for the courses. The modular type curriculum gives a possibility for building on parts of the course until reaching the highest level. The six possible certificates are: IT Officer in the Laboratiory, Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Auditor, Quality Manager Laboratory, Laboratory Statistics Specialist, Validation Officer.
