HTW Saar provides a “Master of Science in Laboratory and Quality Management”, which is focused on the scientific and engineering profile specialists who also need to polish their managerial and administration skills. The course is four-months long. Information technology and quality management are both essential knowledge fields for those who have to answer continuous supervision and compliance with standards in laboratory work or supervision. These processes require constant improvement and concordance, in view of time, cost, quality, personnel, resources. The practical side of the course is observed not only in its work and family compatible form, but also in the hands-on skills acquired through interaction with lecturers and business, all with proven know-how quality. Lack of suitable university degree, which is an elegibility requirement, can be compensated by the relevant Quality and Laboratory certificate courses, which the university also has at participants’ disposal.
