The four-semester certificate course “Leadership and Management in Social Work and Childhood Education” can be attended at HTW Saar. On the one hand, it stems from the legal requitement for academic formation of educational mamagers. On the other hand, it gives theoretical and scientific foundation to the professional experience gained, as well as practice-supported help in dealing with managerial situations in the educational sector. New approaches are offered in the process of friendly and open dialogue among speakers, participants, practitioners. The amount of 30 ECTS is scheduled into five modules, and these are delived in a blend of face-to-face sessions and digital content. The course concludes in a thesis, and if further academic development should be pursued, the BA degree in Pedagogy of Childhood could be a suitable continuation.
