The double Master’s degree “Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering” is imparted by the DFHI/ISFATES, a joint venture of HTW Saar and the Université de Lorraine, in Metz, France. First and foremost, a degree in engineering by the respresentatives of two advanced economies cannot but be a promise for success in later professional career. Secondly, the international interaction the studies suppose, will benefit not only the knowledge gain of future engineers, but also their student life experience. Innovations in the field will be analysed in detail through the specialization modules, since the solid scientific foundations, gathered through years of expert work and application, will serve their purpose only in a combination with a creative and ingenious independent thinking. Several practice periods are embedded in the curriculum to strengthen the technical competence, as well as the communicative and collaborative skills of future graduates.
