The study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering/Process Engineering” is offered at HTW Saar. During six semesters of intensive scholarly work, fruitful knowledge of the principles of engineering mathematics, technical mechanics and material science, as well as technical English, will be followed by the advanced competence training in kinetics, calculation methods, stress tests, thermodynamics, chemistry, software CAD, electrical engineering and manufacturing processes. These will further be advanced through the specialization in Process Engineering in the later parts of the studies. A completed internship of twelve weeks is required for entering the program, and the orientation of the studies as a whole is practice and application one. The additional emphasis of the course is the current ecological aspect of engineering – renewable energies, pollution prevention, recycling.
