Description
Three semesters are needed for the graduation of the “Master of Science in Medical Physics” degree program at HTW Saar. During these, use of radiation, magnetic resonance, optics, lasers and ultrasounds will be dealt with in detail, for their spread in the medical treatment and diagnostics equipment industry. It is a degree where knowledge of physics meets the medical science and the health care practice, and therefore, diverse subjects will be done during the program. Apart from the industries producing medical technology, research and development sectors will also benefit from employing students who graduate this study course. Theoretical basics of mathematics and imaging techniques in physics in the initial phase are followed by advanced studies and two practice-oriented modules: Physical and Medical Fundamentals of Radiation Therapy, or Radiological Diagnostics. The degree relies on the support of renowned physicists and practitioners of the medical industry.
