In a four-month period of studies, HTW Saar provides the Master’s degree course “Master of Arts in Safety Management”. The curriculum is scheduled to reconcile work and family. Businesses and research insitutions work in close contact with the university to make the study program efficient in practical contexts. Security can be interpreted in various spheres – occupational, environmental, IT security, property and personal safety, or events and fire protection, too. In guaranteeing security, a professional has to be well familiar with risk assessment, control of finances and knowledge of the legal framework. With the help of the digital platform, students prepare for the lectures, tutorials and laboratory work, and support the face-to-face sessions once a month. Besides all the possible employment positions after graduation, a self-employment start is also feasible.
