The study program “Master of Arts in Adult Education/Lifelong Learning” offered at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin public university provides a full-time and a part-time course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who hold a Bachelor degree in Humanities and/or Social Sciences and are eager to learn about core processes of planning, organizing and executing adult training programs. The research-oriented Master program allows students to gain insights into the methods of pedagogical working with adults by learning to analytically evaluate scientific data regarding important pedagogical concepts of adult education. Some of the mandatory courses that students are required to take are namely, “Selected Basics of Educational Sciences,” “Philosophy of Science and Methodology,” “Microdidactics: Analysis and Principles”.
